Forest School
Each class will have opportunity to explore Forest school with Mr Stokes before the end of the summer term.
Due to the nature of the activities children should bring with them, or wear, long sleeved tops and trousers. As is usual with the British weather it may be warm and sunny or wet, children will need hats, wellies or waterproofs accordingly.

Outdoor Classroom
We are very excited to have our new outdoor classroom at Spennithorne, huge thanks to FOMASS for all their fundraising efforts to provide this for the children and Castle Timber Buildings at Redmire for building it. The children are very excited to start using their new build. If anybody has interior wood paint/stain or small chairs, tables or benches that we could use we would be very grateful for donations.

Mrs Hirst news
I am incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils during SATs week. Throughout this term, they have shown a fantastic attitude, demonstrating resilience, hard work, and maturity in everything they have done. During SATs week in particular, they have continued to shine and have been excellent role models for the rest of the school.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the staff who have supported Year 6 throughout this term and during this week in particular—Miss Peacock, Mrs Ibbotson, Mrs Savage and Mrs Durrant. Their dedication and commitment have played a vital role in helping the children feel confident and prepared.
Finally, I would like to recognise all pupils at Middleham School who have shown care and kindness towards others. Many have made a real effort to remain calm and quiet around school, helping to create a supportive and respectful environment during this important week.

Mrs Hirst news
It has been another busy and successful week at Middleham, with lots of fantastic sporting achievements to celebrate—well done to everyone involved!
It has also been a pleasure to hear Birch Class learning the recorder; their enthusiasm and progress are wonderful to see. Meanwhile, Maple Class have been making the most of their outdoor learning, enjoying valuable experiences beyond the classroom.
As SATs week approaches next week, we would like to wish all of our Year 6 pupils the very best of luck. Remember to stay calm, do your best, and not to worry—you are all amazing and we are very proud of you.

Be Tick Aware
Ticks can be active all year round, but they are most active in the months April to July, and sometimes later in the autumn. Activity continues over the winter months but at a significantly reduced level. So, we are reminding people to be ‘tick aware’ as they enjoy the great outdoors at any time of the year.
