Mrs Hirst news
I am incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils during SATs week. Throughout this term, they have shown a fantastic attitude, demonstrating resilience, hard work, and maturity in everything they have done. During SATs week in particular, they have continued to shine and have been excellent role models for the rest of the school.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the staff who have supported Year 6 throughout this term and during this week in particular—Miss Peacock, Mrs Ibbotson, Mrs Savage and Mrs Durrant. Their dedication and commitment have played a vital role in helping the children feel confident and prepared.
Finally, I would like to recognise all pupils at Middleham School who have shown care and kindness towards others. Many have made a real effort to remain calm and quiet around school, helping to create a supportive and respectful environment during this important week.
Well done to everyone!

It has been another busy and successful week at Middleham, with lots of fantastic sporting achievements to celebrate—well done to everyone involved!
It has also been a pleasure to hear Birch Class learning the recorder; their enthusiasm and progress are wonderful to see. Meanwhile, Maple Class have been making the most of their outdoor learning, enjoying valuable experiences beyond the classroom.
As SATs week approaches next week, we would like to wish all of our Year 6 pupils the very best of luck. Remember to stay calm, do your best, and not to worry—you are all amazing and we are very proud of you.
Have a lovely weekend.

Be Tick Aware
Ticks can be active all year round, but they are most active in the months April to July, and sometimes later in the autumn. Activity continues over the winter months but at a significantly reduced level. So, we are reminding people to be ‘tick aware’ as they enjoy the great outdoors at any time of the year. Mrs Hirst message:
What a wonderful week it has been!
It was fantastic to welcome so many of you into school for Parents’ Evening, we really value the positive conversations and partnerships this creates. Please remember that our class teams are always there to listen and support you—do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
This half term we are focusing on our Christian value of Joy, and the beautiful weather we have enjoyed recently has been a lovely reminder of this, bringing smiles, positivity and time to enjoy learning and being together.

Mrs Hirst message:
As we come to the end of this term, it has been a joy to celebrate Easter together in so many meaningful ways. Our church service was a truly special occasion, and the Easter bonnet parade and egg-decorating competitions showcased the amazing creativity of our pupils. We have also been sending Easter cards to local residents to share the hope and warmth of the season, and our Easter eggs decorated with positive affirmations can now be spotted around the community—small reminders of encouragement and joy. It has been wonderful to see our Christian value of hope shining through in all that we do.
