Additionally if there changes to end of day arrangements please ensure these are called or emailed to school before 12pm lunchtime to ensure the message is shared to the staff teams.
Start and End of Day
Many thanks to parents for your support with the drop and go system at Spennithorne, it has made the start to the day much smoother for staff and children. During the adverse weather we adapted a new end of day system that staff have also found very successful, consequently we will be keeping this system. Staff will send your child out of school at the end of the day when they have made eye contact/ waved to their parent/carer to acknowledge they have been seen on the playground.
Please continue to park considerately when dropping off and collecting your children. The accessible parking space and drop and go areas at both schools are in use throughout the school day, please use these spaces as intended.
The Key Centre is available at Middleham for parking at the start and end of the school day. This is a polite reminder that parent/carers are responsible of any younger siblings on school premises.
An update from the School Council - Community Lunch launch
We are excited to announce the launch of our Community Lunches an initiative created by the school council. Throughout the year, each year group will democratically decide their lunch choice and have the opportunity to invite two members of their family/community to join them at lunchtime. Invitations have sent to year 6 parent/carers for the first lunch due to be held on Tuesday 4th February 2025. Keep an eye on your inbox and the school newsletter for dates for your child’s year group.
Year 6 have chosen chicken korma with rice or vegetable pasta followed by sticky toffee pudding. If your child does not normally have a school lunch and would like to order one (cost per child, payable on Parent Pay of £3.40) then please
