Message from Mrs Hirst
As I come to the end of my first week as Headteacher, I would like to say a huge thank you for the warm welcome I have received from our children, staff, parents, and carers. It has been a real joy spending time in classrooms, on the playground, and around the school, and beginning to get to know our incredible pupils. I have already seen how kind, enthusiastic, and hardworking they are, and how much care and dedication our staff bring to school each day. I am really looking forward to getting to know families over the coming weeks and working together to give every child the best possible start to their learning journey. Thank you for making my first week such a positive one—I’m excited for what lies ahead.

Warmest wishes,
Mrs Hirst

Lights Camel Action
A huge well done to all the children for their performance in Lights Camel Action, you have all worked so hard learning your lines, practising your dances and singing all the songs. Thank you to families and friends who came to watch.

Massive thank you to all the school staff for your hard work and dedication to the nativity, from choreographing the dances, to stage decoration and never ending supply of glitter and sparkle, the show was amazing

Lights, Camel, Action

On Monday all children will be at Middleham school for the nativity dress rehearsal. Lunch will be provided as usual.
On Thursday you are invited to Middleham school to watch the children perform ‘Lights, Camel, Action’

On Thursday the children will perform the nativity at 1.45pm and 6pm. Due to the limited space in the school hall and health and safety requirements we ask a maximum of 2 people per family attend a performance. Thank you for your support with this.

Please can children be back at Middleham school by 5.40pm for the evening performance.

FEAST

FEAST vouchers have been issued to all families whose children/young people receive benefits-related free school meals. These vouchers entitle your child to free places on FEAST activities this Christmas holiday, where they’ll also receive a free heathy meal. You should have received this voucher via email or text, from a platform called HolidayActivities. Follow the link to redeem your voucher and book your child’s place on some of the fantastic activities
on offer in our area.

Please note that this Christmas, families can request places from Monday 17 November, but bookings won’t be confirmed until Friday 21 November. This short wait gives everyone time to browse activities and express interest before places are allocated. You should hear back within a week to let you know if your child has a place. This new approach helps make things fairer, giving every family an equal chance to enjoy FEAST activities and meals.

If you believe your child is eligible and you have not yet received your voucher, or you have lost it, please contact the school office. To learn more about FEAST, and for information on activities, eligibility and how to manage your bookings, visit the website.
