What a wonderful World Book Day we have enjoyed! The school has been buzzing with excitement, creativity and a genuine love of reading. It has been a joy to see our children so engaged—sharing stories, celebrating their favourite characters and taking part in activities that truly brought books to life.
A special thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us in school. Your enthusiasm and support helped make the day even more memorable. It’s always lovely to welcome you into our classrooms and see our school community come together.
Thank you to everyone—pupils, families and staff—for helping create such a positive and enjoyable celebration of reading. Days like this remind us just how powerful stories can be.

It’s been a wonderful week in school. The children have really brought our half-term value of Respect to life—kind words, good manners, careful listening, and looking after our environment. Older pupils have been fantastic role models, helping others and showing fair play in games and PE.
In classrooms, pupils have shown respect by valuing different opinions, working collaboratively, and taking pride in their learning. On the playground, we’ve noticed kindness, inclusion, and team work. A big thank you to our staff for nurturing these habits daily, and to parents and carers for reinforcing them at home.
Together, we’re helping every child to flourish—academically, socially, and spiritually.
Have a lovely weekend!
Mrs Hirst

This week, I would like to place a special spotlight on learning—something at the heart of everything we do here at school. This week alone, I have seen excellent knowledge of the solar system, read terrifying Egyptian stories, seen some super phonics learning and been busy in the craft area in Maple! Across all year groups, it has been inspiring to see pupils engaging so enthusiastically with their learning. Classrooms are filled with curiosity, questions, and a genuine desire to challenge themselves. Whether through developing core skills in English and maths, exploring new ideas in science, or expressing creativity in the arts, our children are demonstrating a growing confidence and independence in their learning. It’s wonderful to see how much the children are learning and achieving, and we can’t wait to see where their curiosity takes them next.

Wishing you a restful weekend ahead.

Warm regards,
Mrs Hirst

What a fantastic week it’s been in school! The classrooms have been buzzing with energy, and it’s been a real joy to see so many happy faces walking around our schools. The children have shown such impressive resilience and enthusiasm in everything they’ve encountered, and the staff and I couldn’t be prouder of them. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. It makes all the difference, and together we’re creating a wonderful environment for our pupils to thrive. Wishing you a restful weekend ahead.

Warm regards,
Mrs Hirst

Cool Milk
Our schools provide milk via the Cool Milk scheme. School milk is free for under-5s, and for over-5s it is available at a subsidised price of 31p per day. The UK government continues to support school milk. Milk for under-5s is fully funded by DHSC via the Nursery Milk Scheme. Milk for over-5s is subsidised by Defra via the School Milk Scheme Each child that registers with Cool Milk will receive a 189ml portion of semi-skimmed milk every day, school milk will not only provide them with essential nutrients, but as it is rehydrating and energy boosting it also bridges the gap between breakfast and lunch to help children stay focused.
